Bolton Movie Makers

We have regular meetings on the second, fourth & fifth Thursday of the month at Over Hulton Conservative Club, starting at 8pm.

Bolton MovieMakers is a non profit making group of amateur film and video makers who usually make at least one Club Film each year, often a drama, for which we need actors to play the various parts. Hence our association with BATS.
A number of our own Club members have successfully played parts in previous Club films but most of us are hopeless at acting.

As well as Club Films, Individual Members make a number of films for entry in the various Internal Competitions the Club runs throughout the year. These films are also sometimes entered in External Competitions run by other Clubs in the Region. Many of the individual Members' films are Documentaries &/or Holiday Films which need 'voice overs'. Something else some of us are not good at and occasionally need assistance with.
We would be pleased to hear from anyone interested in taking part in any of our Club Films, or attempting a 'voice over' on a film. Just leave some contact details, by email on, or telephone 01204 653407, or fill in the enquiry box on our website.  We can then contact you to see if you are available next time we need actors for a drama film.

Acting on film is totally different to acting on stage and can be helpful in broadening any actors experience.

Bolton MovieMakers Club Film for 2016 "The Surprise Party" won two awards at the North West Film Festival last November. One for "Best Club Film" the other for "Best Story / Script. The picture below is from The Surprise Party.
